Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023- Sankshipt Sandarbh is positioned between a Bare Act and a Commentary. The objective of this work is to offer readers a text richer than a Bare Act but not as voluminous as a commentary. While the provisions of the Sanhita retain the core principles of its illustrious predecessor, the various structural changes and re-numbering of provisions require everybody to re-orient and re-equip themselves with the altered landscape of the law of Criminal Procedure. This book earnestly attempts to facilitate the transition.
The author has tried to be brief and lucid while explaining the new provisions introduced by the Sanhita and highlighting the changes introduced in the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. Short comments after each section provide the corresponding section from the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 and highlight the changes brought in along with relevant principles of law and judgments.
